We have all heard the expression “an ounce of prevention
is worth a pound of cure”. The phrase
definitely applies to dentistry. When
you were a kid did you walk up to one of your parents and say, ”Hey, I haven’t
been to the dentist for a check-up for a long time. Shouldn’t we make an appointment”? I didn’t think so.
Now that you are a parent of a school-aged kid (or kids)
don’t wait for them to remind you. The
end of a school year is a perfect time to make one of their regular bi-annual
dental check-ups. If you stay on track
the next one will be during holiday break.
Believe me, staying on schedule will potentially save you lots of pain
and money.
Dr. David Blackman DDS should be your child’s preventative
dentist. If it ever becomes necessary
for an emergency trip, then knowing your dentist ahead of time will be great as
well. If you live in the Bloomingdale,
Wheaton, and Carol Stream area visit Dr. Blackman’s office at 400 North Gary
Ave. or make an appointment by calling (630) 260-1700 today.
